The Deal...

Ok so,

Here's the deal...

I haven't really read a lot of the Bible. I went to Catholic school for 4 years, and I haven't really opened the darn thing up. So, I decided just hearing about Jesus in the sermons and in the midweek ministries was satisfying, but not enough. I'm starting to get the feeling that no matter how much I learn of Jesus it just won't be enough. Therefore, after hearing about Brandon's Bible Adventure I decided I wanted to do something similar to learn more about Jesus, and God. If I am going to continue on in my faith this has to be one of the best ways to do so.

Lucky for us, we are in community with people who have fantastic amounts of knowledge, and the willingness to share that knowledge with others. I would like to thank Andy Newberry for giving his time to share with us what he knows and trying to answer whatever questions develop.

Now here's what it basically is.

It's a chapter a day.

You guys make a comment at the bottom of this post with your name in it.

The night before every day, I will be posting the reading for the next day. The day of, you can post a comment on the reading of any comments, insight, or questions. You will have a great group of people on here to answer them for you.

The first posting will actually be on the 30th of April, for May 1.

Luke is 24 chapters therefore, there will be no postings for Sundays, it'll be used as a day off so that you can catch up if you missed a day and there may be a few other days off, but never back to back.

Don't worry about lagging behind a little. I really just want to make sure you are actually committed to following through with this before it may turn into something bigger.

We are going to start with Luke, and then see how many of you really continue through with it.

Take notes while you read I want you to be able to ask questions and state your opinions.

This is open to everyone that participates in the midweek ministries including the leaders as of now, so if you know someone whom I forgot to invite, let them now of this.

You may subscribe by E-mail somewhere by the comment box down there VVV. It might help you keep track of this if you are a person who checks their mail on a daily basis.

I do not know if you actually need to have a Google (they made me capitalize it) account to post, or if you can just use your name or a cool nickname in the comments.

In keeping with ORBs cool acronyms ORBx2 seemed like a decent idea, it's basically

Outreach Red Bank
Reads the
Bible

Get it now?

Anyway, thanks for putting up with me. I hope this goes well, and I hope we all learn something from this.
